Fortunately, since I just had my phone number swapped, I knew it was a fake when he asked for completely the wrong person and address! I then asked the indian guy to e-mail me, since if I sent my details to Microsoft tech support they would get my mail address too as usual...but he just made excuses and tried to get me onto that dodgy website. He actually gave me his phone number and called himself 'william' when I told him my net was down...Gawd. What a rotten scam.-Ash Hello, just had the same phone call three times today. I received a similar call yesterday - man with thick Indian accent. He wanted me to perform some tasks to fix "security damage" to my computer. I told him I was not computer savvy enough to do that. He never mentioned any money for a program but maybe because I told him to call back when my husband was here and gave him a 2 hour time frame. Let's see if he does call back!
